Today's anglers are increasingly using two-handed rods on waters for all kinds of fish, including trout, striped bass, salmon and steelhead. Tracing its roots to the mid 1800s on Scotland's River Spey, spey casting is the efficient way for anglers to catch large fish on big, moving waters without wearing out their casting arms. And no other cast is more graceful, or more fun to learn and practice, than the spey cast.
